AP PAPA Lite Version Autopilot Buddy can extend the Autopilot detection interval from 30 seconds to 600 seconds.

If you are prompted by the system during use, please follow the steps below to remove the prompt:

When the system detects an abnormality, touching the steering wheel with your hand will restore normalcy.

If the system disables Autopilot, you need to pull over, shift back to P, and then shift to D to use Autopilot normally.

This autopilot buddy is not compatible with Custom-Modified Yoke steering wheels.

It is very difficult to put on the steering wheel. I had to really stretch the arm part with the thought that it will break if I keep doing that over the long term. Once on it works great although I do get messages that a "cheating device has been installed and to remove it immediately". Ignoring it works so I'm still pleased with the unit aside from getting it fixed to the steering wheel.

The car recognizes your product is there every 10 mins and requires it to be removed to continue using autopilot. This model is difficult to take off and put back on while driving. If I was aware the car would sense this defeat device I would not have purchased it.

AP PAPA Lite Version Autopilot Buddy for Tesla Model 3/Y (2017-2026)

Bought this to try to get a better experience with basic autopilot (autosteer Beta) and it works amazingly well. It also fit on my aftermarket yoke. Only gripe is that the weight is encased in some form of metal that is extremely cold to the touch in winter. Heated yoke has helped but the AP Papa still takes a long time to warm up. However, if you are using it to not have to touch the steering wheel then it being cold doesn't really matter.

I’ve used this with my trial FSD. FSD is ok but this device is great. I’ve used it about 6 hours and only been busted by my car once. I do keep my eyes on the road, hands ready to grab the wheel and foot ready to hit brakes. And I’ve had to do both. But I don’t need to jiggle the wheel which was my main complaint with FSD (and partial self driving).
